  • In terms of the development of the zygote, the oviparous animals make it occur outside the embryo while the viviparous make it inside.
  • For the nutrition, oviparous animals support their offspring through the embryo, specifically from the egg yolk. This is where the needed nutrients are placed to support the growth of an offspring. On the other hand, the viviparous animals support their offspring right from the mother that carries it inside the womb. Just like in humans, whatever the mother consumes, its nutrients will be shared by the offspring living inside the womb.
